No woman should have to dread her period, yet for women with endometriosis it can be awful. Endometriosis is quite common effecting up to 10% of all women.

Symptoms of endometriosis include:

  • Excessively long or heavy periods

  • Migraines and headaches with the period

  • Painful bowel movements

  • Diarrhea

  • Spotting or bleeding between periods

  • Fatigue

  • Nausea

Symptoms of endometriosis can be so severe that you have to miss work. A lot of women rely on a hefty dose of pain medication just to get by each month. Fortunately there is an end in sight.

 How can acupuncture help?

Together acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine work for all stages of endometriosis. Acupuncture is a powerful, time honored modality. It’s used to bring your body to a state of calm so your own innate healing ability can do its job allowing you to heal quickly and fully. Chinese herbs work to both treat symptoms and give your body what it needs to heal its self. All acupuncture and herbal treatments are customized to treat your unique set of symptoms in your unique body.

During our first session together, I’ll complete a detailed intake considering all the symptoms you’re currently experiencing, your health history, and any medications you may be taking. All this gives me a clear picture of what’s happening so we get straight to the root cause. This gives me all the information I need  to create your treatment plan.

At, you’ll receive your first acupuncture treatment along with a custom herbal formula for you to take at home. From there you’ll come in for weekly treatments. We’ll do a brief check in and adjust treatments to where you are in the moment. We expect to see:

  • a reduction on the length and heaviness of your periods

  • less pain

  • improved digestion

Once we agree that your experiencing significant change we can shift to treatments every other week, then monthly for a couple months. After that you can just return whenever you feel like you need a tune up.

I pride myself on knowing that so many of my patients are referred by people in the community and other patients. I look forward to serving you and your community.
